Navy Headquarters of Three Provinces, Tongyeong

The Navy Headquarters (Samdo Sugun Tongjeyeong) refers to the old naval headquarters commanding the naval forces stationed in three provinces (Chungcheong-do, Jeolla-do and Gyeongsang-do province).
It was established in 1603 and remained in operation for 292 years, until 1895.
Hansan Jinyeong, the Naval headquarters in Hansan where Admiral Yi Sun-sin commanded the navy during the Imjin War (Japanese aggression of Joseon in 1592), was the first naval headquarters.
It consists of Sebyeonggwan Hall, Unjudang Naval Command Post, Jungyeong barracks, government office, 12 handicrafts workshops, and a Jujeonso mint.
