To commemorate the literary achievements of the poet Cheongma (pen name) Yu Chi-hwan, his birthplace was renovated and expanded to this literature museum.
Standing on a compound of 3,960m² halfway up the slope of Mangilbong Peak, the museum looks down over the sea. It consists of halls for the Literary World of Cheongma, Traces of Cheongma, and the Poem 01 Corner. It displays 100 kinds of Cheongma’s relics and 350 related references.
The street is designated around the Jungang-dong Post Office, which is an important element in the literary world of writer Yu Chi-hwan.
The 200 meter long street stretches from across the entrance to Sebyeonggwan Hall, to the Jungang-dong Post Office, and to Ssamji Small Park.
