Tongyeong Great Battle of Hansan Festival

The Great Battle of Hansan was a sweeping victory unprecedented in naval war history. To commemorate Admiral Yi Sun-sin's patriotic service, Tongyeong hosts this festival annually in August. Aside from the opening ceremony and gunjeom, the grand naval maneuver, the Tongyeong Great Battle of Hansan Festival reenacts the procession of Admiral Yi Sun-sin, commander of the naval forces in 3 provinces, and the Hansan Daecheop battles. There is plenty for visitors to see and do here and the event will be a rare and thrilling event for all.
