Bukporu, built by the 69th commandar-in-chief, Mok Rim-gi, was a guard post standing on top of Mt. Yeohwangsan, to the north of Tongyeong Fortress.
Abandoned and in a ruined state for a long time, it was restored in February 1993, and is 3-kan wide across the front and 1-kan long, topped with a half-hipped roof.
It has become a popular tourist spot for its commanding, unobstructed view of the city and the sea.
