Tongyeong International Music Festival

Since its foundation in 2002, the Tongyeong International Music Festival (TIMF) has established itself as one of the most important musical events in Asia. The festival is dedicated to composer Yun Isang, who was born in Tongyeong. Every spring, it brings together established names from the classical music world and aspiring musicians from Korea to perform in a diverse program that encompasses various perspectives on music. These range from centuries-old traditional Korean music to the cutting-edge avantgarde music of today.
